Highstreet app

UX, Design, Branding, App

Highstreet is a mobile retail platform, founded in 2014. As lead designer on the app, I helped shape the application from think phase to build. First came the Highstreet brand.

WHITE LABEL

Based on the Highstreet brand the White Label app was build for iPad, iPhone and Android. The app was clean and basic with placeholder content. This way the new prospects would focus on the behaviour instead of design.

Theming

All the new clients are asked for their logo, colours and fonts. Based on these inputs Highstreet White Label is styled. Below are some examples of styled clients.

Client Scotch & Soda

Scotch & Soda is one of the first Highstreet clients, as well as one of the largest. The Amsterdam-based fashion brand is classic in many ways but young and progressive when it comes to their clothing line, making it one of my favourites.

The challenge here, was to adapt Highstreet into Scotch & Soda branding, without loosing their identity.

Client Flinders

Design can be elitist and inaccessible but not if it’s up to Flinders. Their affordable and high quality furniture, lighting and accessories, are a perfect fit for the high quality Highstreet app and make people smile every day.

Flinders app was a great case study for identifying all edge cases e.g. long product titles, colour picker and unexpected loading times. The challenge was to find a solution for those edge cases, whilst keeping the app beautiful.

Highstreet Studio

After the app is styled, clients can create new content e.g. home promotions, lookbooks and push notifications with Highstreet Studio. The goal was to create a simple, yet visual CMS for the merchants, to help motivate them to create amazing content.

New features

The more clients there are, the more features are needed. All the new features are designed first in White Label and later tested within clients theming.
